各位殿

インドネシアのメガワティ大統領に随行してロシア訪問中のRajasa研究技術大臣が
明らかにしたところによれば、ロシアが水上原子炉（４万キロワット出力。船で移動
可能）の建設をインドネシアに提案している由（ABCラジオ・オーストラリア・ニュ
ーズの報道）。

ご存知のとおり、インドネシアは、スハルト・ハビビ前政権時代にジャワ島中部の
ムリヤ半島地域に予定していた原子力発電所の建設計画が頓挫した後も、原発計画
を検討中の模様で、今回のロシアの動きもその一環と思われます。ご参考まで。

Indonesia interested in floating nuclear power plant

Russia has offered Indonesia a floating nuclear-power plant to deal with
potential future power shortages.

The offer has been revealed by the Indonesian Research and Technology
Minister,
Hatta Rajasa.

He was speaking to journalists in Bucharest, before leaving for Moscow on an
Eastern Europe tour, accompanying President Megawati Sukarnoputri.

Mr Rajasa says the Russians are offering to build a 40 megawatt power plant
on a
ship that could be used in many regions.

He says the floating power plant could solve anticipated power shortages in
about 15 years time
